Finally, much awaited Apple event was live. We hope you watched it. If not, don't worry we will cover it here so that you know what you missed. With all the leaks, rumors and judgement from the market, apple inc. unveiled it’s flagship phone iPhone 14 along with other products like apple watch series 8, watch SE, and watch ultra and air pods pro. Today, in this article, we will discuss particularly iPhone 14, Pro, Pro max and what was there so that you can come to a decision if you want it or not?
DESIGN:
Not much changes in design in new iPhone 14, it still comes with that glossy glass back, but this time front screen is ceramic shield and surgical grade stainless steel body, metal corner edges and three cameras (depends on what model). Thickness wise, this time iPhone 14 got bit thicker than it’s predecessor iPhone 12 and 13. Thickness increase means; you can’t reuse your old iPhone cover. Unfortunately sad :(.
You will find no notch in this new iPhone 14 model which gives bit relief to front facing camera and sensor. You get the same Apple’s proprietary lightening port unless the new next model when Apple changes to USB-C.
Camera:
iPhone 14, 14 Pro and 14 pro max cameras are different when we compare. iPhone 14 camera is similar with dual focus camera with 12MP shooting capability. While pro and pro max get the similar 3-camera setup but this time camera sensor has been upgraded to 48MP main camera which is also capable of recording 8k video. (Videographer is getting impressed here). Other than that wide, ultra wide, telephoto lenses are the same like last year. Apple also mentioned that they have improved the selfie camera quality this year with their technology called photonic engine.
Features:
iPhone 14 pro and pro max comes with powerful A16 Bionic chip with super powerful processing capabilities. This year Apple has come up with some interesting features like, emergency SOS through satellite (get help even you don’t have network), auto crash detection (help save life calling rescue team if no one is there for help).
This time there is also a pill like camera cut-out in the pro and pro max which Apple calls out a dynamic lead. Another interesting thing about this apple is they have brought up the new idea of e-Sim where you don’t have to replace the sim every time you change phone. Display is the same with 60HZ and 120HZ refresh rate respectively.
Other specs like storage from 128GB and up-to 1TB, face recognition, mag safe, 5G, always on display, wireless charging, increased battery backup to 24hr for base model and more than 24hrs for pro max model.
Pricing and Availability:
iPhone 14 starting base price is $799 and up with both 6.1” and 6.7” super retina XDR display, iPhone 14 pro starting at $999 for both 6.1” and 6.7” super retina XDR display, promotion technology and always on features, pro max starts at $1099 and up. This time you get four different color options: Deep purple, Gold, Silver and Space Black.
Nepalese Customers might have to wait until they get hands-on on these iPhones or ask their friends and family from abroad to get one. For US iPhone enthusiasts they can pre-order starting September 9 and shelves will hit till September 16.
